Um, this school is a wake up call! From kids who are not from Irvington. The experience humbles you, you learn how to work and talk with people if you show that you are smart. The girls bathroom and locker rooms are disgusting. It needs to be cleaned. It is a low income school but some teachers and students try to make the best of t of what they got.

I love the fact that Irvington Board of education teaches us how to use our time wisely. I am a senior attending Irvington High School, graduating in the summer of June 20, 2019. The Board of Education sets up my school where the students have 4 periods a day. Also every other day the students have different classes to ensure that we cover all of the main subjects. This just proves to us as students that in the real world we just need time to focus and prepare for our future.
Irvington Board of Education offers many opportunities for students to learn and participate in activities that would enhance their education. Overall, I have have been exposed to great opportunities, such as the district's "I Am Youth Leadership Program," "Cooperman Scholarship," and more. Students are also notified on programs that promote college readiness and leadership skills. The district tries its best to provide a safe environment so that all students feel secure while learning. All in all, the Irvington Board of Education makes it a priority to provide as much education and opportunities for the students to receive.
