Irvington Public Schools School District Reviews
I have been a student at Irvington High School for a total of two academic years. I must say that this year has been one of the best school years for me. The school has gone through many changes, mainly the implementation of a new principal. The principal has made it his goal to foster a sense of community within the school and I must say that I have seen a drastic change with the attitude of the students to learning. Additionally, the principal makes himself available and is always willing to listen. The same goes for the administrative staff. Personally, I only see the school improving in the long run.
Um, this school is a wake up call! From kids who are not from Irvington. The experience humbles you, you learn how to work and talk with people if you show that you are smart. The girls bathroom and locker rooms are disgusting. It needs to be cleaned. It is a low income school but some teachers and students try to make the best of t of what they got.
My overall experience at Irvington High School is not too bad to say the most. Most teachers try their best to help students who may need assistance in anything. The school has a few things they can work on to improve the school. For example, the school needs to get better professional teachers not just throw any random person to teach just because there aren't many teachers in the school. The school needs to work on the variety of foods they serve because sometimes serving and eating the same food all the time can get tiring. Fixing the water we drink, getting better clean waters, pay more attention to students and clubs that do exceed in doing something rather than just paying attention to one particular club or game.
