Iredell Statesville Schools has provided my school with endless opportunities such as great teachers, early college programs, dual enrollment programs, and even a 4-million-dollar football field for my school. Iredell Statesville Schools is the best district.
Overall, ISS is pretty good, but some of its schools need some change. West Iredell High School AP Academy was very disorganized and made us do unnecessary work. Crossroads, formerly known as VPAC, offers college classes for students. However, counselors discourage students from certain colleges. Also, they do not listen to what students want to do and try to push a major on them that they do not want. CATS high school is AMAZING and deserves more than 5 stars!
The Iredell-Statesville Schools do have a unique system. Overall there academics isn't bad. But they could improve a little better in there learning system. Overall most of the schools in the distract are on the same guideline, and teaches almost the same stuff, just different ways. But the system should add in more stuff that can help us more in the real world for example maybe a class about taxes, a class talking about actual politics and real world problems, maybe a job about construction. Yes school is prepping us for the real world. But the world isn't hard complicated math problems, or righting essays all day, or mixing chemicals. Yes depending on your occupation knowing complicated math problems would be beneficial. But thats the point deepending on your occupation.
