Ira ISD is a school that comes from a very small community. Teachers and faculty are very generous and helpful when needed. Academics are well-known to be excellent at this school and the sports teams are somewhat decent. Unfortunately, if you are a student that likes to be involved in other extracurricular activities then this may not be the school for you because Ira has a very limited section of activities to join and they usually involve a small majority of students. This school also does not have much diversity and I am not sure why it has always been like this, but I do believe that it should be looked upon and changed. However, what is very convenient at Ira ISD is that teachers and students help one another out with any school related questions. Overall, this school is a great choice if you like smaller classes and a small community. If you are considering attending Ira ISD, then I recommend giving this school a chance and see for yourself if it’s the best fit for you.
We’ve been involved at Ira for 6 years with two kids. Couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of education, teachers, leadership all within a family environment.
Small school, dedicated teachers and a community that cares. Beautiful, new building filled with people who want to help the students succeed.
