First of all, it's a very small school. The high school consists of less than 200 kids. This is a blessing and a curse. The good aspects to this involve the intimacy of everyone in the school.
Every student has the opportunity to form connections with every one their teachers. Teachers can help students one on one and actually give them the appropriate help. Students in the high school also know everyone. I have grown up with pretty much the same 50 people. We know almost everything about everyone. I can't imagine not growing up in an supportive environment like this.
The school has some questionable teachers, but don't all schools? Our district kind of struggled with the whole transition to virtual learning because of COVID. That can't really be held against them. The one thing that has come out of the COVID situation is the switch to Schoology. This learning platform is not very efficient. Classroom is much better in comparison.

Iola-Scandinavia has been a decent experience so far. It's a small school so being part of the district means you know everyone, and everyone is nice and supportive. It's really nice. There isn't much support going towards the music department but the athletics has everyone very involved and supported. If you are interested in other class opportunities, Iola supports you and can get you to a college or online class or an apprenticeship.
Iola-Scandinavia is consistently one of the best schools in central Wisconsin. The experienced teachers and rigorous academics prepare students to thrive at the college level. Considering the size of the school, there are numerous clubs and extracurricular for all different interests. I-S offers a business club, rocket engineering club, art club, and multiple others that allow students to expand their horizons. Thunderbird athletics are known state wide as elite, with top ranked football, basketball, and baseball teams. Athletes consistently compete at the state level in cross country and track as well. Although there is a lack of diversity, I-S does a great job promoting acceptance of all people. I would highly recommend Iola-Scandinavia High School.
