I liked how the Independence School District started adding more hands on classes, what they're referring to as academies. Sadly they started it my senior year so I didn't get the full experience but the time I had was amazing!

My experience within the Independence school district was a well benefited one. One thing i liked about this district was the opportunity they gave us students to be involved and our freedom to express ourselves. In the community of my high school i was capable of joining many clubs and organizations that suited the person i am. Nothing will compare to the love i gained from all faculty and district leaders; the care from them and teachers was overwhelming. I would suggest people choose this district because it's a community where anyone is welcomed and will be guaranteed an opportunity to gain beneficial steps into a successful career path.
I have attended school in the Independence School district for three years now. While I feel that the district meets most safety standards, I would like to see the district take further steps to make life easier for students. I would also like to see more funding in activities that are not sports, since sports take up most of the funding.
