The Independence School District has a very good educational curriculum, excellent extracurricular clubs and athletics as well as music and arts programs, a diverse student culture and successfully prepares students for college. However, bullying is prevalent in the district as I have been bullied myself and have witnessed other students be bullied as well. I also believe some staff and educators are unenthusiastic about their work and in some cases are rude and lazy. I would not say this district prioritizes students' safety either, as I have seen many of my peers become violent with one another as well as use and/or purchase weapons. Overall, I would give the district an average rating. Not the best, but not the worst.

Everyone is really nice, and the teachers try to help and connect to you the best they can. You make really strong friendships along your journey too!
The ISD is a very good school to be with academically the district has a lot of programs within the school which are very good for students. However there is no diversity really majority of the school district is white. Also there are not a lot of different race teachers, the majority of the diversity is through helping staff. Which is not a great for the students because they cant see the diversity if all they see is white when there is many different races in the world.
