The teachers were very friendly and helpful. It is a small school and has a good student to teacher ratio. They had a well-stocked library and their theater program always produced good quality plays. The facilities were always very well maintained and I found this school provided good educational environment. One of the down falls of a small school is that there wasn't a variety of language classes offered and the extra-curricular programs were limited. While I attended we did not have a football team. This may have changed over the last few years. Overall Illini Bluffs was a good high school to attend.

The best thing about Illini Bluffs is how committed our teachers our. For instance, my US Contemporary Issues teacher Ms. Gresham encouraged students to do “public service announcements” about an important social or political issue. The growth she encouraged was incredible, and I am amazed by how much I learned. Another staple at our school is the chalk board in our English Hallway. The effort students and teachers alike put in is phenomenal. My school goes to great lengths to involve ALL students, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
I enjoy the smaller classes because you can have more one on one time with teachers, and they get to know you and know if you’re a reliable student. Illini Bluffs is improving day by day and adding minor things to better the school. They focus a lot on the community and including people around the town in activities.
