I would say I have had an average overall experience with Huntington County School Corporation. I have encountered some really amazing teachers who I have learned so much from but there have also been some teachers that could have taught the branch of study in a more effective way. I would say there is a lot of unfairness in the athletic side of the school corporation. We live in a very rural small and political town so there is a lot of importance based on your last name or what family you come from.
Economically, I feel that our school could have budgeted better but it also cultivates a very good atmosphere for students. All guidance counselors have been helpful and caring and life skills are taught and valued. An importance is placed on our safety such as the Safe Prom Demo we get every year and doing what is best for the students. Overall most of administrators have been great role models and doing what is best for the students.

My experience in the Huntington Count Community School Corporation was an overall positive experience. They provided me with an excellent amount of resources that I was not only able to graduate as junior, but I was also able to graduate with Academic Honors. The school corporation did an astonishing job of making sure the resources used within the classrooms were also the best of the best. I was not only able to work with an iPad while I was student, but also received a MacBook Pro my last three years as a student. However, something I would improve upon through the corporation is providing more resources that make students more aware of the options of graduating early. Lastly, I would improve upon the facilities within the schools themselves. They were not always the cleanliest making it hard for many students to use them.
My experience with HCCSC has been pretty positive. The teachers and staff have helped tremendously with this experience because they're always willing to help and better your understanding of a subject. There are many different extracurricular activities and clubs for students to join, so there's really no reason for a student to not feel like they're a part of a school team. My overall experience with HNHS has been great and I would recommend anyone to attend this school. Go Vikes!
