Hughson Unified School District Reviews
It’s a smaller district but that allows the classes to be more personalized. Sometime the teachers and office staff seem like they don’t really care about certain things pertaining to the students.
A high graduation rate. Good values and strict curriculum installed. Really want to help a student succeed.
I love the school environment. Even though there are some, so called, not intelligible students, you learn so much from this school and it's teachers. For example, in the class Academic Decathlon you learn so much that you wouldn't have known without taking this class. All-in-all, this school is very good educationally and I highly recommend it to other students.
The agriculture program at Hughson High School is absolutely amazing. The FFA advisors go out of there way to help everyone, not only learn what they need to for highshool but they also offer help applying for colleges and finding paid internships or jobs for there students after high school.
Hughson High School is a small school in a rural community. While the school does have very strong school spirit and definitely does have a handful of kind and competent teachers, there are several other factors that greatly detract from the quality of the school. There are several teachers on campus who are blatantly racist, homophobic, and sexist. I had one teacher who spent the year making fun of the Japanese and explicitly said that women were inferior to men when it came to holding political offices. Additionally, there is a lack of variety and opportunities when it comes to clubs, classes, and activities.
