Hughson High is safe and a communal high school that offers great academics. It's a very small campus due to the location being in Hughson, but that's okay. Most of the teachers I had at Hughson High are easy to talk to and provides exceptional learning to receive easy grades. Mostly everyone who attends this school will graduate unless if you believe work gets done on its own. There are not a wide variety of clubs to choose from, which is disappointing. Hughson has a thing called "Portfolio" that every student works on throughout their four years at Hughson (instead of Senior project). It is a pain, and most of it is pointless. The ethnic diversity here is not diverse. Food is less than mediocre. Sports here are a hit or miss. Rumors and drama here spreads like a virus. This is the experience I had so far at Hughson; we did acquire a new principal this year, and things are actually going better.

What I like about the Hughson School District, is that it is a very tight not community. Everyone gets to know everyone at some time of them living in the town. There’s is an average amount of diversity there, which helps with spreading culture and different ideas. Hughson High is a very spirited school. The administration there wants you to succeed and have a future. The school counselor is help out with any tough decisions you have to make they are there for moral support and also emotional support if you need it. Something that I would like to see later on in the years in Hughson high or the Hughson school district, is more people getting involved in sports, clubs and school activities.
Hughson High School is a small school in a rural community. While the school does have very strong school spirit and definitely does have a handful of kind and competent teachers, there are several other factors that greatly detract from the quality of the school. There are several teachers on campus who are blatantly racist, homophobic, and sexist. I had one teacher who spent the year making fun of the Japanese and explicitly said that women were inferior to men when it came to holding political offices. Additionally, there is a lack of variety and opportunities when it comes to clubs, classes, and activities.
