My daughter has finished kindergarten through HPS and I couldn't be happier. The school was awesome, helped her when she struggled with reading and best of all, SHE was happy going to school every day! I think Mrs. Reagan is the best principal in the system; she knows the kids by name and makes sure to talk with each of the students personally!

I highly enjoyed my time at HHS, there were plenty of school clubs to get involved with and the teachers truly want the best for their students. The only down side is that the school is big, but have no fears, there are plenty of students for your child to be friends with!
Hudsonville Public Schools all have an atmosphere of being a very small-town country kind of place, despite the fact that their school populations are actually huge. Unfortunately, Hudsonville Public Schools leave little room for new experiences and diversity.
1. Most of the teachers put a very large emphasis on gaining respect from the students (and making the students think that they're cool). This is usually a good thing, but sometimes actual education is sacrificed for this and a lot of time is wasted.
2. Especially earlier on but still in effect (just more subtle) in higher grades, Hudsonville teachers tend to be sexist. You will not go a lifetime in Hudsonville Public Schools without hearing teachers remark on how girls are more mature than boys, more smart than boys, worth more than boys, etc.
3. Most students have no idea where to go when it comes to getting help regarding bullying, problems at home, mental health problems, etc that negatively affect their ability to learn.
