Hoover City Schools Reviews
I grew up in the Hoover City School System since I was in kindergarten. I attended Greystone elementary school and experienced an enormous amount of opportunities to grow in my education. I developed my academic foundation and was able to join enrichment groups for gifted students, student council, broadcast, and the 5th grade play. At Berry Middle school I enjoyed having different teachers for each subject who could specialize in the curriculum they were teaching. I was able to get involved with band, Science Olympiad, and Future Problem Solvers. Moving on the Spain Park High school I entered challenging AP courses that taught me how to problem solve on my own. I thrived in extra-curricular activities such as band, robotics, and various honor societies. Spain Park helped me grow as a leader because of the vast opportunities it offers. I am prepared for college because of my solid foundation provided by Hoover City Schools.
My experience with Hoover High School could not too no other. All of my teachers were kind and caring and always made sure each student was prepared. No only we're the teachers and environment was great but to top it off the sports team. Cheering on the bucs was one of my greatest memories in high school. Having such outstanding athletes and coaches made our school stand out from any other. Hoover was my second home and I would not in a million years wanted to go to a different school. Also, Hoover was so complex and knew how to keep everyone safe. We would practice fire drills, tornado drills and code red drills to make us prepared and more sufficient if the event really occurred. None the less I would like to thank our principal Mr. Hulin for being the best principal ever. Not only did he make me cry at graduation but made me feel happy that I had such a wonderful time at Hoover high school. Go bucs!
As a student in the Hoover City Schools system, my overall experience as a high school senior has been wonderful. I have made life long friends throughout my k-12 journey and even found my college roommate. Hoover High School specifically is very diverse in culture and I have always felt very welcome. When I attend school each day, I feel very safe thanks to the SRO officers. They work very hard each day to provide a safe environment for Hoover City Schools students. Throughout my k-12 journey, I have found that the teachers are very understanding and excellent at their job. When I have missed class due to being sick or on a field trip, they have always been very open to helping me with the material. They are always open to answering any questions I may have and are very good at communicating. While the days felt long during my k-12 journey, the years flew by so fast and I could not be more grateful for the opportunities Hoover City Schools system has given me along this journey.
