I have now been attending this high school for 3 and a half years. My last semester will be starting soon and I will then go on to college. Overall, I have made many good memories at this school. Our high school has around 500 students, with an average class size of 20 students. With such a close knit community, there was always someone there to reach out to if you needed any help. However, it is a very old school, in need of some fixing up. I am not in complete agreement with some of the decisions made by our administration, so that can be frustrating at time. Overall this was a very good school that I had the honor to grow up in.

Overall, I did enjoy my time at Hillsboro High School. Most of my teachers were good at their jobs and most students were good people. Two problems I saw and continue to see my little sister having are that their isn't a very diverse amount of classes available, and the administration makes poor decisions both in spending money and in running the school. They like to pay to renovate unnecessary things like the concessions patio by the football field. They also do certain things that treat students more like children than as the soon to be adults that they are.
Hillsboro High School has quality teachers and in turn, I feel I've been substantially taught. However, the buildings themselves are quite outdated. In the main building, heating and air conditioning is an issue. It is also an issue during bad weather conditions and possibly threatening situations that there are 4 separate buildings for students move to and fro for classes.
