My experience at Hilliard Davidson High School was like any other high school student. I had a great time learning many different subjects and exploring subjects I didn't know I would like. I also had a great impact on being a sports team here. Sports at Davidson has taught me respect, time management and perseverance. Hilliard offers many classes and programs to expand your career choices and options, or to see what you don't like. I took a business class this year and learned that I enjoy many aspects of it and have decided that this is what I want to further my education in. I've been prepared for college next year well and cannot wait!

This is a great school district and it is located in a safe area. The elementary schools offer great environments to ensure that children are learning adequately and having fun. There are two sixth grade schools, where students can have an easier time transitioning from elementary school to middle school. The middle schools and high school do a great job of getting students prepared for becoming competitive college applicants. There are also many extra-curricular activities for students to get involved in. Band, choir, strings, many different sports, and a wide variety of clubs. There is something here for everyone to get involved in.
My time in Hilliard is looked back upon a little less than fondly. The district prides itself on college readiness, but then removes exams from its schedule completely. Though the idea is good, it fosters an environment that doesn't equip students with a good background going to college. The teachers and administration, however, make up for this with their dedication to students' learning in and out of the classroom. A lot of responsibility is put on them to make certain that students learn, which oftentimes creates an atmosphere that is easy to blame them when a student is doing poorly. More often times than not, it's the student that is not fulfilling their part of the student teacher relationship. Overall, Hilliard offers the resources a student needs to be successful, but they must take the initiative themselves to become better students.
