Higley Unified School District Reviews
Being a high school graduate, I was somewhat pleased with my experience with the district. I do believe, however, that funding could be dispersed better into different programs in schools. I believe that there is simply too much money going into sports and not enough going in to the performing arts. Although funding could be better, I will say that the district did show their support for the arts on multiple occasions, specifically during the RED for ED walk out with already scheduled field trips for said programs. I always believe that education could be better but I do understand that the district is doing their best to provide students with this.
Through out my highschool years Higley has been a good school to attend due to the accelerated programs offered for individual students but also the faculties willingness to go above and beyond what’s expected and allow for all students to thrive in an unbiased and safe environment. Not only that but the arts programs are increasing more spectacular each progressing year ,it truly show the hard working and free spirited student body and the fantastic support given by all individuals whom attend Higley Highschool.
HUSD and Higley high school (HHS) are great places, with a clean, expansive campus, but it has some issues with it. To start off, the counseling department is not very proactive in the success of students, often being unavailable and unaccommodating to their needs. Though, the EVIT students are often neglected, having constant scheduling conflicts. The teachers in this district however, are extremely exceptional, preparing well crafted material in the classroom, setting students up for success in real-world applications.
