Highland School District Reviews

1 review
I am a senior at Highland High School. I have enjoyed my three and a half years as a part of this school district. I play varsity football and basketball for the school team. I enjoy how much effort this school puts into their sports programs. They really focus on building your character through grueling practices, tough schedules, and fun activities. One thing I would really like to see highland change is the balance between school, sports, and the student's life outside of the building. There were days where me and my teammates would spend twelve or more hours in this building doing two a day practices, normal school hours, and mandatory study sessions. I would be leaving for school at 5:30 am, and getting done with practice at 6:30 pm. After I got home I was expected to complete all of my graded homework, which usually took me over an hour. This was ridiculous and barely left me with enough time to get 7 hours of sleep.
