Highland Park Independent School District (Amarillo) Reviews
This school has small classes, friendly environment and technology driven! All these things have prepared me for a better learning environment and helped me become the student I am in college. Only thing is that due to the small school, there are less opportunities for variety in sports, electives and activities. Other than that, excellent school!
I love Highland Park, it has given me many opportunities and provided me with many lifelong friendships. Being a small school Highland Park allows me to participate in all kinds of different activities around the school. I love the teachers the most, I have built many relationships with teachers whom I can trust. One thing I would like to change is the school involvement/spirit. I've always felt that the different programs could be more supportive of the other programs. They could also work on getting the parents and community involved more as well. Another thing I would like to see changed is how the staff presents new changes in the rules or anything else they are making. Overall, Highland Park has been an amazing school. I'm blessed that I was able to attend such a great school.
My experience at Highland Park High School has been very, comfortable to sum up. The school is smaller in size so everyone is very friendly and you get a sort of "home" - like sense. The teachers are very active in each student's learning experience, and are always there for help and assistance when needed. Due to the school being small in size, you get a lot of one-on-one time, which comes in handy in difficult times. There are also a good amount of rules that help the safety of the environment, and each student overall. There is so much creativity and intelligence spewing from our whole staff and peers as well.
