I am transgender, nonbinary, autistic, and struggle with mental health. I would not recommend these schools to your student that may align similarly to me. I have been going to these schools since pre-k, and my entire experience has been less than favorable. You will be ignored, bullied, and struggle. All and all, please pick somewhere different for your student.
In Hickman County School District, there aren't many qualified teacher. With that said, the qualified teachers are quite great. I wish we had better teachers and a better system.
The faculty is very self absorbed and more focused on the “in” people, rather than the students well being and/or mental health. There have been very many attempted suicides as well as actual suicides and the school system has done nothing for the students attending and/or the ones affected.
