Hermitage School District Reviews

Within my time at Hermitage High School, I have basically floated my way through a 4.0 GPA. Which is great... except for the fact that I know that even though my grades are good, I am not educationally prepared for college. I am sure I will adapt quickly enough, but I wish the teachers made us care more.

The teachers give everything they have and everything they can, but upper administration intentionally stops any progress. It’s almost as if admin wants the school shut down. Students are punished for enjoying classes, teachers are uncomfortable with, and many times fired for, addressing concerns, and unless the superintendent wants it, nothing happens here. I could go for days. National champion FFA instructor—forced out. National champion contending drumline instructor—forced out. Top notch band and choir teacher—forced out. Students discouraged from applying for scholarships. It’s terribly sad.
