I love how Hempfield offers a wide variety of classes. They offer CTC programs, lots of different level classes, dual enrollment with local colleges, and lots of clubs for enrichment opportunities. At Hempfield, if you want to get involved or prepared for your future, all the resources are there for you and it’s definitely an amazing public school. Also, the sports all around at Hempfield are very successful and Hempfield has one of the best theater programs around!

My teachers at Hempfield School District are excellent! I feel that many of them care and wish to see the student succeed! The art and music program at Hempfield is excellent. There is also a great variety of clubs and sports students can be a part of. I appreciate that they offer a variety of scheduling branches especially during senior and junior years including, CTC, dual enrollment, AP courses, school-to-work periods, etc. Additionally, I like that we have resources within the high-school to help students who are struggling, including the drop-in center (a place where student-tutors help students with there classwork), and an expansive library.
I have few complaints about Hempfield, one being that I have seen office and technology staff be rude and demeaning toward students and parents. I have seen multiple times the office staff be unpleasant and unprofessional.
Overall I have had an excellent experience at Hempfield School District.
In my opinion, Hempfield School district provides an exceptional education. The majority of my teachers have been passionate, caring and devoted to the students. The block scheduling at the high school level provides many opportunities to personalize each students schedules to their individual needs. One thing I believe could be improved would the emphasis on other options after high school. Hempfield has already been improving in this area, but has room to grow. The transitions from elementary school to middle school and then middle school to high school has been wonderfully executed. The high school has an extensive list of clubs, sports and other activities.
