My teachers at Hempfield School District are excellent! I feel that many of them care and wish to see the student succeed! The art and music program at Hempfield is excellent. There is also a great variety of clubs and sports students can be a part of. I appreciate that they offer a variety of scheduling branches especially during senior and junior years including, CTC, dual enrollment, AP courses, school-to-work periods, etc. Additionally, I like that we have resources within the high-school to help students who are struggling, including the drop-in center (a place where student-tutors help students with there classwork), and an expansive library.
I have few complaints about Hempfield, one being that I have seen office and technology staff be rude and demeaning toward students and parents. I have seen multiple times the office staff be unpleasant and unprofessional.
Overall I have had an excellent experience at Hempfield School District.

Hempfield is pretty ok. Teachers are generally interested. Can get classes you want. Everyone has their own iPad and school is mostly paper free. Food adequate. Just added coffee bar and smoothies. There are cliques of students. Academics are not too hard for college prep, a flex period daily helps get the work done at school. Has dual enrollment with multiple colleges. My State school college intro class is easier than my high school courses. Being more quiet and academically focused I wish more students were also. Administration is ok. There are a variety clubs to choose your level of involvement, some are super involved and others do not participate in school extracuriculars at all.
I have gone to the Hempfield School District from 1st grade through 12th grade. The school has a large enrollment (2200 in the high school)It is very diversified. There are multiple sporting, musical, art and clubs to be a part of. The school district has seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. The class size runs no greater than 30. The Hempfield School District provides a great deal of opportunities to students as they progress into the high school to prepare them for college or prepare them for a trade school. The school district provides a dual enrollment program with the local colleges and trade schools to provide even a greater chance for academic enrichment. The school district provide students with a well-rounded education that meets the varying needs of students of all levels. There are specialized programs offered for academically challenged students that will also prepare them for the next stage of life.
