Healdsburg Unified School District Reviews
Healdsburg High School has opened up so many opportunities for me since I started attending in 2017. It has many choices of AP classes from Art to Human Geography allowing student to pursue all of their interests at a collegiate level. However, the closed campus does not allow the student body to be very diverse making this a very small school that does not do well in athletics and many other areas of extracurriculars. If we were to open the campus, the school would have access to much more information about the students and teenagers in general.
Some things I enjoy about the Healdsburg Unified School District is the amount of support they give us. In additon, some cons about the district would have to be the long schedules, some students have to work and our release time is until 3:45.
Healdsburg high school is a small school and the social groups are clicky because of the small town setting. Teachers are overall OK and get the job done though it depends which ones you take. I took some good, some bad and both were survivable and overall easy with the grading system. Many new teachers and counselors come in because of the lack of staff at school. I've had three different counselors over the past three years there. The new ones seem nice enough but don't always understand your personal situation due to them being new. The library is good and the librarian is friendly as long as you don't misbehave. The dress code is insane. You can wear anything you want, no teacher or staff member enforces school dress code that I know of or experienced. Food options are pretty good they offer pizza and subs and cookies (the best cookies I have tasted) and more. Sometimes there is a salad bar. I played tennis and the coach was okay.
