My experience at Harrison High School changed my life. Classes began, syllabus here and syllabus there. Stacks of paper flooding my backpack. The torment seemed endless but it was necessary. As a middle schooler, I was a "good" student, but what I didn't know was that I was NOT ready for the "real world". I made countless friends both from my classmates and my hard-working mentors. AP classes were a nightmare as I treaded through the halls with a 50-pound book in my arms. Yes, the lack of energy prevented me from realizing what I know now: AP classes made my skin thicker and my mind stronger. My confidence rose as 3's changed to 4's in AP exams. Mrs. Spice: my counselor, helped me oh so much. I was aided in many aspects, extending from academics to emotional issues. So in the end, the seamless neverending syllabi and the dreadfull hours spent at 11 pm studying paid off for I changed from a dependent, lonely person to an independent and hardworking individual.
I've always been a student who has attended a Harrison School District 2 school throughout all my years. I can say that it has made the learning environment what it should be. Looking back i can say that i have been highly satisfied with my entire school experience within HSD2. The consensus within this school district is the poor conditions within the schools when it comes to classroom conditions, bathroom conditions, the temperatures within the school. Those little things have been somewhat of a problem all my years but with the new bill that was passed that will make for taxes to go into improving school buildings. It's a good start for improving schools within the district fro future students. I may not have gotten to experience it but it's good that others will get a better experience.
My experience at Harrison high school (even though I am a freshman) is doing really well. I like being at the school to see many teachers, friends, and even go to clubs!!! Many teachers are really nice and help a lot with homework and classwork, if you do need the help of course. Harrison high school even has a lot of diversity and people to become friends with, which is amazing if you do feel lonely all the time like me. The clubs are a great way to meet more people and to make new friends. The thing that I would like to be better is the hall passes, even if it is just an experiment and for a short period of time. I just need to use the restroom sometimes and it's hard when the security guard doesn't come.
