My experience with this highschool has been one to remember. I moved here my freshman year from Tennessee and I have achieved so much academically since I have been enrolled. I will forever be grateful for Harrison Hills City School District.
It was a great atmosphere when concerning friends and family, but academics were not where they needed to be when getting students ready to move on to the next level of college academics.
At Harrison Central, I've been handed opportunity after opportunity to succeed. The school offers college level courses and AP classes, and my absolute favorite thing about this school is that the teachers care. The teachers don't just grade papers and make lesson plans, they make it obvious that they are there for the students. I will never forget Mrs. Huston in the 7th grade telling our class that if we ever need anything, she is always there. It's teachers like her that have inspired my own dreams to become a teacher. I don't know that I would change anything about Harrison Central or any of the other schools. There's no reason to fail here and success is evident. At Harrison, achievement is expected and there are so many resources available to help, all you need to do is ask. I hope that one day I am privileged enough to work in this school district, as I am proud to have been privileged enough to learn in it.
