My experience at Guilderland High School had it's ups and downs. There was a global pandemic, but our school took things very seriously and made remote learning and eventually reentry into the school, smooth and hassle-free. One of the best things about GHS are the teachers. There were so many kind and caring teachers that have been so welcoming and caring and will still remain my friends and a source of knowledge and help even once I graduate this year. Thank you GHS for being such a wonderful school for 4 years!
There are a lot of good aspects about Guilderland, and also many things that could be made better. I like that a lot of the teachers take the time to connect with every student, and make everyone feel like they are important in their class. The wide selection of classes is also very nice, especially for upperclassmen who have more freedom with their schedules. However, there are a lot of problems with Guilderland's facilities (bathrooms, lunchrooms, classrooms, etc).
I really enjoyed my time at Guilderland High School, coming from a small school to way more than doubling class size was a big change for me. But at
Guilderland there were so many opportunities for me such as clubs and sports. I ended up joining a sports team all three seasons every year of high school and have been involved in the variety of clubs that GHS offers. Now I am the President of International Club because of the oppurtunities that GHS gave me. If there was some things I would say need to be changed or improved at GHS, it would be the that all the administration is willing to hear you out. Not on a huge problem because sometimes that smaller issues turn into the bigger ones. So I would say that GHS needs to work on listening to their students.
