I love that they keep everyone informed with a monthly newsletter!
It is a great district with high test scores and great exit exam scores! The schools really know how to prepare the students for college!
They have diverse communities and the students are very well rounded in all areas including academics, athletics, leadership, clubs and more!
I wish that they had more classes or activities in the arts, such as dance, theatre and music.
GUHSD is a great district with great board members that are doing great things for our communities.

The atmosphere of Grossmont High School is just amazing. There is so much energy and excitement everywhere you look. People are always spirited, wearing as much as the school colors they can. I love how involved the staff gets with the student body and the fun activities we are able to do. It is so easy to meet new people and make great new friends. There are so many clubs, sports, and extra-curricular that it makes everyone feel as if we are one giant family. I have had so many memories at sports games, lunchtime activities, and even in classes. All of my teachers have been so involved in helping each student thrive and reach their goals. My high school experience was definitely made better because I went to Grossmont High School.
I go to is Santana High school, it provides good opportunities for these students with programs such as PLTW and career cruising. However there is some different things that can be improved. An example is the atmosphere towards work ethic. It has gotten so bad in the last few years. I feel like students can be pushed harder in some classes to be better prepared for the future. This can be seen from different views though because some moments it is more appropriate to get students ready for the real world. What I mean by this is that morals could be improved. The students just need to be seen more as the future generation rather than an amount of student ID's.
