It's an average school, with average teachers. I would like to see the counseling office be more pro-active in assisting juniors and seniors with the college/fafsa/scholarship involving both the students, colleges and the parents.
My time at Greene was both pleasant and dreadful. Where I enjoyed certain teachers and their classes, I was often met with experiences that ruined any chanced of enjoying the school district. The music department offered many great opportunities where I often found the nicest individuals. On the other side, the school district is filled with people who are rude and atrocious, and belittle those who are "below them." Often if your family is not actively involved in the community, or if your parents do not own businesses in the town, you will be treated like garbage where other's receive special treatment and coddling. The school board committee is corrupt, often trickling down into the many problems developing in this school. My greatest memory from that school district is leaving.
Greene Central High school has awesome counselors and a friendly staff. Unfortunately, it is a very small school with little diversity.
