I loved my experience with the Greendale School District. All throughout my school years, I was surrounded by teachers that cared about me and encouraged me to learn. Greendale always provided a comforting environment that allowed for me to focus on my studies and embrace my academic potential. Greendale is not perfect, of course- every school district has some flaws- but I always felt very lucky to go to Greendale. Our staff members are set on pushing their students towards success. The teachers push their students so that they can fulfill their full potential. Along with academics, Greendale has always offered a multitude of extracurricular activities for the students to get involved in. I am involved in the Christian after-school club called "Campus Life," which has really enriched my spiritual life & my character.
I've loved attending a school focused on challenging its students. Recently, however, certain policy changes and rules have negatively changed the school's culture.
This school is very good at preparing students for college. I have gone through all Greendale schools my entire life and was given the help I needed in order to be successful. If you/your child attends Greendale and they want to do good they will. There are more good teachers than bad, but when there is a bad teacher it is usually pretty bad. Although I have not personally had any issues with any teachers, there are certain stories I have heard that have definitely raised eyebrows. Greendale is as just as good as of a school as any other in the are and will prepare students just as much, maybe more. One thing Greendale is lacking is diversity within the student body, as well as the staff, which I do understand is something that is difficult to change, but and greater effort could be put forth.
