Overall, attending Grand Island Schools has been a good experience. Throughout my years here, I have gained great friendships, made memorable memories at events hosted at the school, and have learn useful information from my teachers who have created me as the person I am today. One of my favorite things the school offers is their athletics. I participate in soccer, indoor and outdoor track and have learned multiple things from these sports. They have taught me how to more confident about myself and show how hard work pays off. If I had to change a few things about the school, I would change the food that's provided since it isn't the healthiest or the best quality, dress code should be less strict and having more school events where all ninth through twelfth graders are together participating in it.
Grand Island has been able to take a step up compared to other schools during the pandemic. Allowing for us to still be able to go to school and keep up with the curriculum. Because we live on an island we grow up together, making lifelong best friends for the past sixteen years. We know eachother and we know how to push eachother to help us all succeed. Going into college next year I feel very prepared. Although there have been difficulties when learning I feel comfortable getting one on one time with a teacher to get that extra help I need. I have been pushed to my highest potential being a student within the Grand Island Education System. Before the pandemic, there were many extracurricular activities such as football games, prom, etc. These were where Grand Island really shined, the community getting together to cheer on our teams. My overall experience with Grand Island is something that I would never like to forget.
Grand island has some really great teachers and consolers that have really changed my life. There is also a wide variety of classes and extra circular to choose from!
