Grand Haven High School is a pretty good school. There are a variety of classes, clubs. and sports that one can join. For example, there is a class called Pay it Forward where the students volunteer and give back to the community. The majority of the teachers are supportive and try to help students with their problems. However, the school lacks diversity because the student population is majorly white, which can be a turn off for some people. The school also has a reputation for being uppity and clique-y. I would like to see more diversity and mental health awareness promoted throughout the school. I also hope the school can shed its snobbish reputation one day and be more welcoming to kids from all areas, not just Grand Haven, Michigan or the tri-cities area. I also wish Home Economics was a class that was offered because I think it would be beneficial for everyone.

Grand Haven is an awesome district! They hire amazing teachers that are kind and actually care about their students. They offer lots of help for many different special need, as well as for college choices, counseling, and subject help. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that until a couple years ago the district struggled with mental health awareness but now they are making a positive effort the help their students.
Grand Haven High School has a great staff and many adults who are there for the students and genuinely care. The school works hard to see students strive in all fields however there is more funding put towards sports than music and theater programs. Grand Haven encourages students to support one another in academics and in the hallways while giving rewards to do so. Of course all students would be in favor of an open campus, the use of backpacks during the school day, and cell phones.
