Granbury High School is an academically challenging high school located 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Tx. Granbury is a Career and Technology Education school and offers high school courses in engineering, business, medicine, culinary/hospitality, military, and visual/audio art. It has provided me the opportunity to take rigorous high school, advance placement, and dual credit college courses while exploring a variety of fields. I have been able to participate and be a captain on the Varsity tennis team and vice president of competitions for the DECA business program. We offer a variety of athletic and extracurricular opportunities for students. I have enjoyed my 4 years at GHS, but look forward to next year as I will be a freshman at Texas A&M University.
As a former GHS student I can say that no matter how good the extracurriculars were, the administrators made it fail. Time after time they showed more interest in ending conflict and sweeping things under the rug than getting justice for their students. Very disappointing for such a pretty school.
Granbury has a great assortment of classes for high schoolers to take. There are many organizations for students to get involved in, and there are many caring teachers on staff.
