Gordon County schools is passionate about ensuring that academics and safety for students come first before anything else. The teachers will make sure that you are always taken care of and will keep tabs on your success and goals for your future. I have had so many teachers in this school system since kindergarten that have impacted my life. Whether it was checking up on me, giving me motivation, helping me, etc. The immense care this school system has is incredible. Every student here has at least one teacher they can talk to. The education is also excellent and students thrive, such as myself, preparing for college. Though, Gordon County schools is lacking in certain classes that should be available and not many people enjoy certain things, students still excel academically, as well as outside the classroom.
I loved being a part of the Phoenix Nation. My graduation was amazing! I was lucky enough to be the first class at SHS to graduate on the football field. There are many issues with administration but the schools pretty much run ok because we have great students and great parents. I took honors classes but most of my honors teachers were not all that great at teaching. My dad was the best teacher I had while I was at SHS.
The teachers here actually show that they care about each of their respective students. And when approached, will do whatever they can to help.
