My experience at Apollo High School was impeccable. I was a part of clubs such as Key Club and DECA and National Honors Society, each focusing on helping out the community and promoting academic achievement, leadership, growth and character. The teachers all strived to prepare us for state testing and our future in general. We earned our A+ this last year for outstanding test scores and academic growth. Additionally, we have been recognized for our marching band, dance team, swim team, and soccer team on many occasions. Apollo gives students the chance at growth in a safe environment. We have remarkable students all coming from different backgrounds and lifestyles. Apollo embraces their diverse campus as they reach out to Dreamers to help them accomplish their goals, it has even formed a Black Student Union which empowers black students to achieve academic success and talk about problems they may face in America and it has an ELL Program for the parents. I love Apollo!
When it comes to my experiences, I felt that it was a very well-rounded district. Faculty and staff care deeply for the growth and development of the students. There may be flaws here and there, but the overall experience was great! I would definitely recommend that the district introduces more clubs, sports, and activities for students to be involved in. I would recommend this district.
The GUHSD is amazing since it offers a variety of programs and limitless opportunities that help students reach their goals quicker! In addition, the professors not only do a great at teaching a subject but enlighten the students. In fact, GUHSD is so great, it has a ranking of an "A" in the system.
