Forest Glen Elementary school is in district 41 and it sucks. The class rooms are too small, very crowded, and and all the students are on top of each other. The rooms look like a mess as there is no room for supplies and storage for any of the educational material. I have a student with Autism and I had to fight for services. There is no onsite parking so having to go to the school is a nightmare. The bus services were/are very inconsistent with drop off times and pick up times. There were occasions the bus drop off was an hour late without any contact with the parents. I didn't think the communication between the teachers and parents was adequate. Over all I really dislike to the school. If I had to pick the worse thing about the school, I would pick the cramped overcrowded classrooms.
School District 41 is very student-centered with high levels of professionalism among the teaching staff- they have National Board Certificate holders at the middle school level. The District's emphasis upon Problem-Based Learning has helped prepare all students for competition at the next level and in the global economy.
In the Glen Ellyn School district No. 41 they are very focused on their students succeeding. They provide a lot of resources to achieve their goals ranging from early education to 8th grade. I know this first hand when I was in 2nd grade I needed certain help in literacy. They provided extra assistance and extra practice and I was soon back on track. Also the security and safety in their schools are up to date and effective. They keep there students safe. Overall I think they could work on having more of a variety of school lunches and making their options healthy and affordable. All in all district 41 is a great district that I was fortunate enough to attend kindergarten through 8th grade in.
