I recently had a student graduate from Campo Verde in Gilbert School District. He had an IEP and was struggling when he first started in 10th grade. I was amazed at the change, he began completing assignments and homework by himself and graduated with all A’s and B’s. My other 3 go to Spectrum Elementary and the teachers and recourse availability there for all students is above and beyond, they really take no student left behind to heart!

I have attended Gilbert Unified School District schools for all three schools, elementary, junior high and high school. The teachers at the elementary school are amazing, they really care about their students on all levels. They really create a bond with the students and help any student that is struggling. The elementary school was a very tight family atmosphere and had great parent involvement. The junior high had a great sports program and allow a female on the flag football team. The high school teams up with local community collages to allow for dual credit opportunities. They also offer accelerated courses and advanced placement classes.
Very good school district. The one thing I do have to complain about is the high-school bell schedule. We have to wake up way to early. My mom also works at a school and she starts 2 hours after me!Don’t even get me started with A-hour.It should NOT be an option to have an hour start at 6:30! I wake up at 5am every school day to make this class and it’s not like I live that far either.they justify “oh it’s optional” but dedicated students will do anything so they can take the classes they need. My ahour class is only offered ahour.I have to get up at this time!I’m so tired at the end of lunch that I fall asleep in the next class. I got to bed at 9:00pm.I think they really need to plan out schedules for student better. lots of my friends have hours where they have no class at all because their schdule was messed up.GPS has amazing teachers who love what they do but they need to fix the school schedules.
