I recently had a student graduate from Campo Verde in Gilbert School District. He had an IEP and was struggling when he first started in 10th grade. I was amazed at the change, he began completing assignments and homework by himself and graduated with all A’s and B’s. My other 3 go to Spectrum Elementary and the teachers and recourse availability there for all students is above and beyond, they really take no student left behind to heart!
I have attended Gilbert Unified School District schools for all three schools, elementary, junior high and high school. The teachers at the elementary school are amazing, they really care about their students on all levels. They really create a bond with the students and help any student that is struggling. The elementary school was a very tight family atmosphere and had great parent involvement. The junior high had a great sports program and allow a female on the flag football team. The high school teams up with local community collages to allow for dual credit opportunities. They also offer accelerated courses and advanced placement classes.
I have for the most part loved being apart of this school district. All I can really talk about is my school as I have direct experience there but I’ve also heard great things about the schools around. Going on with my school being Mesquite High, everything is great about the place. There is daily announcements everyday so that everyone can keep up with what is going on and there are many clubs and extra curriculars. There is an opportunity for anyone at the school. The sports are pretty good too. Not long ago did our football team win the state championship. The work ethic displayed by the sports teams is unreal. At all practices you see everyone working hard. For my personal experience with sports, I have done track, cross country, and basketball. Cross country has been my favorite for sure. There is a strong desire for success with the group of people in this sport. We never give up at all. The school makes sure we get the meets we want. The one bad thing is how much shine we get.
