First off, I'd like to say that I was very involved in the founding of our school district and worked hard to set-up Germantown schools for our community. In general, I am very pleased with the Elementary Schools K-5.
The Middle and High schools are where the problems began. I currently have a child in High School and Middle School. We noticed quality of education slipping in Middle School for our oldest child, but we worked hard and hired a tutor to help in subjects where teaching was lacking.
Our current experience with the Middle School-age child though has been terrible and we are considering private school. The quality of education has slipped further than when our oldest child attended. Additionally, the Middle School is spending a lot of time and resources on poor curriculum and identity-politics. My child's Middle School counselor was wearing rainbow costumes every day and and there are "welcome all gender" signs. Let's please just focus on academics that are struggling.

I have two children who have attended Germantown Municipal Schools the past five years. The administrators, teachers and staff have been responsive and their educational experience has been top notch. My husband and I would highly recommend the district!
Students in Germantown are very serious about their future and strive to make academic success everyday. The students have high test scores and are very socially inclined. The principals are very friendly and talk to all parents and students. Parents are notified about any occasion. Teachers are caring and the environment is overall fantansitic. This school system deserves to be #1!
