While the teachers in the district genuinely seem to care about the students as well as student preparation for college, a number of factors inhibit students from being their best. Due to scheduling issues, certain classes such as AP classes or the arts are incompatible and students generally have to choose between academics and arts. Clubs and activities are basically non-existent outside of community service groups due to a lack of funding. Foods served in the cafeterias are roughly what you would expect from a small town in America. The library hasn't really gotten many additions since the 1980s, however the district somewhat makes up for it with having a large quantity of computers.

I've been in Geneva schools nearly all my life and at this point it feels like everyone in my grade in family, whether I like them all or not. Growing up in Geneva with all of these people has been a blessing and a course, when I leave them to make new friends in a new school it will not feel the same. Though I do feel as if they should loosen up a little bit, we should have more classes to use laptops seeing as nowadays you don't really see any places without some sort of computer, students should have the opportunity to learn these skills to better themselves.
My experience at the high school was excellent. As graduation approaches I feel like I have been prepared for the next step which is college. The teachers and staff are great people. If you needed help with anything or just needed to talk to someone, there was always someone willing to give a hand. Students are friendly and easy to get along with. My overall experience was great and I wouldnt change a thing.
