The General Mclane School District is great to be in. The academics, athletics, and other extracurriculars are uncomparable. I'm very fortunate that I have been apart of the district my whole life.
I love my school because it is very diverse and the staff and students strive for a change where no one will be left behind or discriminated against for any reason. I personally don’t think there’s anything my school could improve upon either than basic dress code rules, only because so many students break them anyway.
General McLane is a Wonderful School. The Teachers and Staff are vary willing to help their students achieve their best. The Music Program is wonderful, The band, Choirs, and Musicals are all Wonderful and beyond expectation, especially the Musicals. The Directors of the Musical put their heart in soul into the musicals and set a high bar for the students and the students are willing to reach the bar they set and go beyond it.
I enjoyed learning lots of things, and with that I enjoyed not being bombarded with work all the time. It was a place where I made friends with my entire class and got to know some of them very well.
I enjoyed class everyday when I was a part of general McLane. I played soccer all four years of high school and I took a variety of classes. The access to new versions of learning thanks to the ipads allowed us as a class to do many things most kids did not have access too. General Mclane is a very diverse school district and I met many friends and colleagues, that would later help me succeed and graduate with the class of 2018. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a lancer and will always remember my time learning and living at General McLane.
General McLane offered students the opportunity to express themselves in a way no other student could. Teacher were accepting to every student and overall had no problems!
General McLane is overall a very good school to go to. The counselors go above and beyond to assist students in their applications to college as well as scheduling requests. Many of the teachers are very organized and efficient in their teaching.
I Loved the atmosphere. Everyone really acted like a big family in many ways. The teachers were always there for you and never wanted to see a kid fail. My kids in the future will be attending if we stay in the area because I want them to grow up in a safe, caring school district. A very nice job to everyone that helps keep the community surrounding GM.
I love how General Mclane put there student first and want the best for them. I knew that when I will graduate that I am ready for college. At general Mclane they a great teachers there to help support inside and outside of school.
As the 7th safest district in the state, GM cares deeply about their students. Staff works together to help students achieve their top potential.
General McLane is a fantastic school to attend. The teachers genuinely care about their students. Most teachers know everyone’s name even if they don’t know them.
I had a great experience going through General McLane School District. I'd gladly recommend it to any students in the area. The atmosphere was always welcoming, and there were almost never issues of conflict among students. The classes were great, and the Science and Technical courses used some great equipment. And once I reached high school, there was also an option to take courses at a nearby Technical School, which I gladly took part in.
General McLane is a wonderful school. The teachers are kind and care about the students. With about 800 students in the High school at one time there are cliques that form, but I never found bullying to be an issue. I am happy to say that I am an alumni of GM.
I absolutely love my school. My teachers, for the most part, are amazing and want nothing more than to see me succeed. The accelerated/AP program is the perfect pace for me so it is both challenging but doable. Involvement in clubs, sports, and activities is strongly encouraged at my school, and getting involved is an easy way to make friends. The only complaint I have about my school is that while in middle school, I never learned how to schedule my classes in high school so that I could take all accelerated/AP classes possible without them being crammed into my junior and senior year.
I really like the teachers at GM. They make class enjoyable by cracking jokes and treating the students like equals. All of my teachers have been more than happy to help me if I have a question or struggle to understand a concept. I also enjoy the fact that students are placed into core classes through three levels depending on how fast they learn. If a student isn't the best at science, they can take the advanced level instead of accelerated to get the most out of their classes.
I have went to General McLane School District since I started school in Kindergarten. I’ve had mostly good experiences, but I’ve also had some not so good ones. Like every school, there are people that treat others poorly and create some not so fun experiences for those people. The classes I have a General McLane are really great and I’m definitely learning a lot. The teachers here are ready to help and want every student to get a good education. I’ve played many sports here and the coaches and programs are great. They help students grow as people and as athletes. Overall, General McLane School District is a great School to go to.
It is a very good academic school, and teachers prepare students for the after High School life. no matter if it is college, job, vo- tech school, or just about anything. They staff is very friendly and students are always willing to help one another.
