General McLane School District Reviews
The General McLane School District is one of the best in the state. All of the administration really care about the value and depth of the education offered to every student. Reflecting on my own experience, GMHS really puts in the time to customize every student's schedule so that they can personalize their own education. The facilities are exceptional and are always being remodeled so that the community and student body can use them easier and easier. Lastly, the teachers are some of the most inspirational and motivational teachers I have ever had. They put their hearts into their teaching and care about each and every student.
All my life, I have gone to school in this district. I started out going to McKean Elementary, then went to James W. Parker Middle School, and finally General McLane High School. If I had to recommend this school district to someone, I would do it in a heartbeat. There are plenty of extracurricular activities to do; including sports, clubs, and music. Students can find what they love to do here, personally I fell in love with their music department. The teachers here are excellent, they are all willing to help you if you need help; inside and outside of school. Overall, it is an excellent school district.
During my four years at General McLane, I found that I wouldn't want to go to school anywhere else. GM has one of the best academic standards in the State, and it feels more like home than school. High school seems rough, but GM was nothing but fun and good memories. There are no cliques, the football players hang out with the band kids and the theater kids hang out with the jocks. General McLane is full of talent and they really let kids shine.
