I greatly admire the teachers in our social studies and music departments. At Gateway, we take great pride in our arts, and the quality of our musical and play productions speak for themselves. However, the quality of our food is questionable at best and the security guards armed with guns no longer break up fights for fear their guns will be taken. Gateway has flaws and could benefit from improvements, but its core values are strong and reliable.

I love the diversity and broad range of opinions. The food, nursing department, and lack of mental health resources are my only complaint. Gateway has fantastic, involved teachers who truly care about their students (most of them at least). The buildings are great. I was able to start a GSA and all the administrators were very helpful and made the process easy and quick. Shoutout to Mr. Randolph for being the most involved, helpful, and all-around amazing teacher I've ever met.
A lot of teachers are always willing to go the extra mile to see their students succeed. The academics are amazing and so are the opportunities. What falls low is the amount of support going towards sports other than football and student athletes that are not football players. The football players get recognition no matter what they do and are not reprehended for certain actions that if another student werebto do would get in trouble for.
