Gateway High School is, overall, an underrated school. I think that no matter what school you go to, you will always hear someone say, "This school sucks!". Personally, I have been to a few different schools throughout the years, and know a lot about what goes on in a school. Furthermore, Gateway does things just right. There's always room for improvement, but I am going to focus on the highlights. The teachers are great, the security is perfect, and this place really does prepare you for the real world. Go Gators!

At the beginning of the year everything was going great. The teachers were kind and I understood all the lessons. But by the second semester all the teachers were getting a little anxious for the end of the year and so were the students. Then Covid-19 happened and we had to leave the school. It was truly upsetting because I would miss all the experiences I get from being in the high school.I miss my friends, teachers, and the many inside jokes I had. But overall I miss the musical. This year I was cast as a named character and I did not get the chance to perform. I would be lying if I said I was not still upset about our musical being canceled.Gateway’s musical director, he is also the band director, posted several times on the BAND app talking about how much he missed all of us.This honestly made my day a couple of times and I am truly thankful for him.Gateway High School teachers and staff has kept all of us connected throughout this global pandemic.Gateway is a fantastic school.
Gateway is a great school for those intended to participate in honors/AP classes, but their academic classes could be better. Almost every teacher is involved with you and care for you. The teachers are truly amazing. The school is located in a great community, and is very diverse. Also, they offer many classes and extracurricular activities. They have a very successful football team. However, they spend too much money on this team rather then spending it on education or other activities.
