Garfield School District is a average-good school district. As I've been attending Garfield re-2 schools my entire life, I have a lot of insight on the school. They offer the IB diploma program and have high quality, caring teachers. However, there are some administrative and organizational setbacks, and I don't feel very ready for college. The people are kind and there isn't a lot of violence/ drama at school. Transportation is also pretty good, and there are a lot of after school clubs and activities to participate in.
My time is this district was well spent. Every school has its problems but RE2 makes you feel more at home. In a small valley it’s nice having a district cover the majority of schools. Being in a smaller school helped because you could be closer to a teacher and feel better about your education. It wasn’t the best but it got us through.
The teachers are very engaged and care about the students. Small class size makes it easy to have one on one time with teachers. There are many opportunities within the community which is actively supportive and engaged in the local schools.
