Ganado high School is located on the Navajo Reservation in a small community in Ganado, AZ. Students here and including myself have little resources to receive education beyond high school but will do what it takes to get there. The school in general is diverse and many all come from the same ethnicity. Teachers and faculty members all do their best to push students of all grade levels to continue and reach the college level. Sports here on the reservation is very competitive and many student-athletes try to receive scholarships for the sports they enjoy most. Ganado High School has a safe environment and strict regulations such as not having solid bags on the campus. Teachers are there for the students and the students are at the school to receive a greater education.
I had a great experience learning from my teachers. We have a good sports program for girls who are interested in basketball. I also made a lot of good friends here. The teachers are very supportive and helped me succeed in school as well as programs within and out of school.
Not enough input by all pillars of the school system, not enough engaging in improving students preparation for college.
