Gahanna-Jefferson Public schools are very diverse and filled with all walks of life! Many of the teachers are great, however, like many schools system, there are issues. However, they continued to work on these issues which gives me great hope for future students coming in.
Most of the teachers are good, and lots of electives are available. Absolutely awesome for performing arts, drama, music, band, and other electives like those. It is a little bit lacking in traditional sciencey courses though. Also limited and unorganized PE courses, though those might not be as important. Good administration and policies, really the only problem is there is 3000 kids and the peers are not so good. Many honors classes so it's fine academically, but it will not be good if you get bullied at all, it will be multiplied here at Gahanna Lincoln High School.
I would give the Gahanna Jefferson Public School District 3 out of 5 stars, I think the lower levels of the district are very taken care of. Teachers fit their rolls well and the younger students truly enjoy school. However once things come to the high school, things tend to get messy. Most high school students cross not one, but two major intersections to get to their classes in a building across the street called "Clark Hall." Not only is this dangerous but incredibly inconvenient. Along with that, the building itself is so old and completely outdated it makes students lives difficult. Hallways are too small for two way traffic, in addition to the hallways, the stairways are almost comical. Although the younger students in our district are taken care of. The older high school students can be neglected in some areas. As the high school has 2600 students, this is a large department of our district. Taking a large toll on my rating.
