Gadsden Independent Schools Reviews
Gadsden Independent School District in general has been a pretty good experience so far throughout my education. Though, we aren't an open campus and have more strict rules than other districts I feel as though these restriction guarantee students and faculty a more safer environment. GISD has improved over the years and has provided students with opportunities to exceed their limits in learning and athletic abilities. I feel like this school district has provided many teachers who get paid less than what they should be offered. Without all of the faculty and staff in this specific district that has helped me improve I wouldn't be where I am today.
The teachers are always there, they noticed that if something is bothering you. If you don't understand the teacher would have a one on one with you. The administration are always open, if there a issue or if you need help the assistant principals are there including the principal himself. Even counselors are even there to help you and even if you have any questions about college information or scholarships they will be able to answer them. Like if you are not going to college or a trade school, they will give you second options, if you want. I feel that the pay should go higher, because every teacher puts there heart into what they do, because they want you to succeed in life, they are preparing you for the real world.
What I love about Gadsen independent schools is the fact that culture is well respected and students aren't judged by there skin. They embrace each other's differences and learn to become a loving family. As on of my experiences I participate in the marching band at the high school I am attending, the band has a very enjoyable and hard-working time but at the end of each football game, I am able to go out with my friends and have fun. For example after a football game we go out eat and talk about the game and re-act the fun moments we had at the game. Bonding in and out of school is a very wonderful experience.
