The 2020-2021 school year was good considering the circumstances. At my school there were different phases of opening back up, we started with virtual class and over time students could decide to go in-person, I decided I would stay virtual because my parents were high risk for corona. As I was virtual I did face troubles such as technical difficulties and personal issues at home. I wish virtual students felt more welcome to participate in class, sometimes I felt forgotten. I also wish there were more resources for virtual students to get help, whether it is with their mental health, home life or, dealing with the pandemic. I wish I was offered more help, especially because I was a junior, I really didn’t know how to prepare for college or deal with everything that came with it. Many of those things I had to do on my own, which was extremely stressful. I will say that there were virtual sessions and emails that held info about what I needed to do. Overall I had an eventful year!
Well rounded. Triple A! Academics, Arts, Athletics! Milton is a lovely school that feels more like a college campus. It has professors that really care. The administration makes a point to check in in the students. Students with 504's or IEP's get the accommodations and attention they need while not feeling singled out. Milton is an outstanding, high achieving school!
Growing up in Fulton County I experienced a numerous amount of different social and environmental studies. As far as, diversity in the schools, hands on activities given the outstanding clubs, and the everyday college resources that us students receive. There are great teachers to have connections, and talks when going through a tough time. Given that I attend one of the performing arts schools in Fulton county, I truly believe the spread of diversity in my school is well known through our school dances and musical performances. We all share a school culture that is well understood through every student and administration team. However, one thing I believe could be fixed is the school facility itself! The restrooms aren't filled with tissue, soap or paper towels. While, there's plenty of roaches going around during school hours.
