The school is overall a great experience, but the AP classes are lacking in some areas. The material isn't really deep and the teachers sometimes have to look out of the book to teach it. The atmosphere is anything way different than what you would expect at any other school. The kids and teachers are really friendly and kind to you when you meet them. Some of the food in the cafeteria though doesn't really taste interesting. I understand that it's not supposed to be interesting, but not everyone enjoys eating mostly junk food all year due to the limited selection on the menu. The school really focuses on its Fine Arts Department, it is a nice thing that Friendswood cares about a multitude of programs and not just sports. The parent involvement in Friendswood is intense.

I like the amazing teachers and faculty that the school has and the great learning environment that the school has made! Although there isn't much diversity at Friendswood High School, I am nevertheless honored to have attended THE number one high school in the state.
I loved Friendswood ISD. You get that small town feel from knowing just about everyone in your class to the staff coming out and supporting students throughout your K-12 education but large enough to be diverse and offer the competition and growth that comes from larger ISD. You have more exposure to opportunities outside of the small town bubble when you have staff like those at FISD who encourage students from a young age to advance themselves and continue their education on past HS. Students are pushed physically and academically to push past what we thought our potential was to achieve more than we imagined. My niece is now a part of the FISD and we can't wait to watch her grow here. I hope to have the same experience/growth for my own children someday and I look to find SDs that have build the same solid foundation that FISD instilled in me and my siblings. Thank you FISD!
