Friendswood Independent School District Reviews
The school is overall a great experience, but the AP classes are lacking in some areas. The material isn't really deep and the teachers sometimes have to look out of the book to teach it. The atmosphere is anything way different than what you would expect at any other school. The kids and teachers are really friendly and kind to you when you meet them. Some of the food in the cafeteria though doesn't really taste interesting. I understand that it's not supposed to be interesting, but not everyone enjoys eating mostly junk food all year due to the limited selection on the menu. The school really focuses on its Fine Arts Department, it is a nice thing that Friendswood cares about a multitude of programs and not just sports. The parent involvement in Friendswood is intense.
Friendswood Independent School District gives its students all the tools they need to walk into the future with confidence. I have not only learned the necessities for a basic education, but I have been pushed to reach my dreams every single day. Emphasizing the importance of interpersonal communication, character education, and the power of relationships, FISD truly gives its students and edge to be successful in all aspects of life.
Something that I loved about FISD is all the school spirit that was provided all 12 years I attended this school district. All high school admin were so supportive and wanted you to succeed. The counselors at the high school always made it a point to keep you on track, and make sure to create a relationship with all the students. Lastly the principals at the schools really created a good drug free, and violent free school district.
