The city of Fremont has a lot of potential to expand but developmentally it’s a very slow process. A very positive thing for the city is the the rebuilding of the elementary and high schools. The up-to-date education buildings will be huge plus for the city. I wish there would be more parent involvement, not volunteering wise but having more of a presence and investing in their children’s education path more passionately.
Growing up in the Fremont City Schools has enabled me to interact with diverse groups pf people, preparing me to be a life-long-learner and citizen of the world! More administrators and teachers are always needed. Many hands make light work!
Fremont City School District is a great place to get a K-12 education.
The community within the schools feels fairly close-knit, though it tends to get cliquey in high school. The student body is incredibly diverse, and thus it's very easy to find friends.
The district is oriented towards sports, with the football team getting most of the attention in the fall and swim, track, cross-country, and baseball get attention in the spring. There is a marching band, and while they don't get a lot of love from the district, they are one of the best bands in their division.
The classes available can cater to a specific desire- A handful art classes, a few hands-on such as woodshop, as well as orchestra, band, choir, and dance. The teachers are supportive of students and offer a quality education.
