Living in a diverse community like Freeport School District, it was full of opportunity in all aspects of my academic and social career. Having been in the offered honors classes, A.P college courses, clubs, and music department has made me a well-rounded person. From warming hearts of those in the Salvation Army and elementary schools by singing carols with the choir, to wrapping gifts during the holiday season for those who were less fortunate with the Peer Leaders Club, Freeport Schools has allowed me to do it all. I have been able to partake in trips with Student Government to speak to the senator regarding budget concerns. Being able to experience these opportunities of achievement through Freeport Schools’ programs and classes has influenced my character and has furthered my strive to be the best person I can be. Having the several experiences I've had has molded me into a cultivated individual that will take what I’ve learned and apply it to my work ethic in college.
As a senior (graduating 2017) I felt the school provided a well-rounded education. Academically the teachers were available all the time to help with difficult subjects and took their time teaching. I had the opportunity to attend classes after school and on the weekends when I felt I needed additional help to maintain my GPA all 4 years. I was also selected to attend summer college courses at a nearby university and afforded the opportunity to join the NJROTC and robotics team. It's a great school.

The one thing I would change would be the school offered more technology programs. Being that the workforce is so heavily reliant on workers using various computers/ systems I feel high schools should prepare students with enough skills to get a job after graduation if they wanted.
