I love franklin city schools. I attended all through elementary and high school.I have always had great faculty and staff help. The students at FHS are great. We are a small yet hard working community. The culture at Franklin is something to admire. We are tight knit and kind. We care for others and when someone is hurting we are all hurting. I am thankful to say I grew up in such a great town. Everyone in the franklin community is hard working and dedicated. While there are some people who have very little, something that I have found through growing up here is that all people are grateful for what they have. I have been overwhelmed with the sense of community franklin city schools has provided for me. I have always had a great support system, even when I switched schools briefly. It is very evident that the faculty and staff care for the students. I know that our best interest is always at stake in their hands. They want to see us succeed the best that we can in life.
My high school experience has been amazing. The administrators, teachers and staff care about the students and have created a school climate of a growth mindset and excitement for learning. Franklin High School offers a lot of extra-curricular activities and clubs that students can get involved in.
I have attended Franklin City Schools throughout my entire educational career. I have been very involved in my school and community as a student athlete. I have been part of Franklin cheerleading as a member of the pee-wee competition program, the Junior High sideline and competition program, and as a High School football, basketball, and competitive cheerleader. Being a cheerleader has kept me very involved in school and community spirit events.
One thing I would like to see change at Franklin is more opportunity using technology. We lack one on one technology for all students and our Science labs need updated. We also have old school buildings that need replaced and updated. For example, our Junior High school building was built in the 1920s and is very outdated as a building used in our district.
