At Fountain-Fort Carson they are very hands on with college which helps for my future. The teachers are very good at teaching even when dealing with disrespect on a daily basis. Some students at this school are very good with balancing work and fun others aren't so lucky. Also, some students are very rude to the teachers like when a teacher accidently looses a homework assignment and they would flip out on the teacher. The administration is very helpful with college and talking about problems. Domination day is a very fun day that is about competing against other grades and having fun.

The academics are beyond any other school I have dealt with. I am an Army Brat who attended three high schools and my children attended two high schools. When we moved here, this was the school that seemed fitting and it proved itself. Both my children are going off to college with scholarships and minimal/to no expenses. The sports department needs a great deal of work because the focus is spent on star players instead of team ethics and participation. Parents have to much say, if their child is "seen" as a star athlete and other children tend to be left behind. Everything else about the school is astounding!! If academics, safety, diversity and overall student engagement is what you want...this is the school.
Fountain-Fort Carson High School is a great school in academics. The school offers a large variety of classes to choose from, including many college and AP classes. Thanks to their pairings with CSU-Pueblo and CU Denver, many students get to graduate high school already having come credits for college, which the school pays for. Being in a military town, the school has a good level of diversity among its student body. Due to that, new comers are not left separate for long as the school constantly experiences students leaving and joining as their families come to the bases around it. While extracurricular activities are encouraged in the school, the only thing I would change about it is the value the sports have over other types of activities. While it is progressing sports still hold more precedence over things like the arts on a large scale basis.
