Fort Worth ISD has been my school district my whole life and its crazy that after this year, when i graduate, ill be leaving that part behind along with all of high school! In a way its like leaving my second home, so in my honest opinion FWISD is an okay district, compared to the school in other districts... Especially in the sports department, we Barley have the proper equipment or fields for the sports teams we offer. Also i wish FWISD provided more readiness for college or readiness for just for life in general! I feel that FWISD could do better in many departments.

The Fort Worth Independent School district is a place where diversity meets education. I started my journey at Oakhurst Elementary, I had teachers who believed in my abilities to succeed. I had administration to whom I still talk to today. In my middle school and now high school career I have attended the Young Women's Leadership Academy. The administration cares for each student and works hard to make sure the opportunities are available for the growth and prosperity of the students. The teachers emit the passion they have for teaching and project that onto the classroom. Due to this FWISD school I have been able to meet professionals, work in two engineering internships and grow mentally. Fort Worth Independent district has given me the opportunity to grow and realize my dream of continuing my education and this scholarship will only further the realization of that dream.
Being a student in FWISD my entire childhood, I have to say that all my learning environments were regularly positive. Teachers, staff, administrators, and counselors were always caring and engaged in ALL students.
Schools I attended such as, South Hi Mount Elementary and Trimble Tech daily pushed the importance of preparing for college and after high school careers. I can proudly say Principal Ramos at Trimble Tech is one of the most involved administrators I have ever encountered. From going to all sports practices after school, to walking around checking in on teachers and students, daily announcements, and always making sure students are doing well. I have enjoyed my time in FWISD!
